Venice High School Alumni Association Scholarships

Description: The Venice High School Scholarship Program stands as a lasting tribute to many generous people, organizations and businesses who have made supporting our students in their quest of higher education a priority. The award is administered by the California Community Foundation. This scholarship award and others are made possible through the time, effort and monies that are donated by the graduates and friends of Venice High School. Announcements will take place at the Venice High School Senior Awards Ceremony. 
Amount: Awards range from $1,000 to $16,000.
Criteria:
  • Must be a graduating senior that has been enrolled at Venice High School for the last 3 years which includes this senior year
  • Full time student (12 units or more/6 classes)
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national or a U.S. permanent resident
  • Must submit financial information by way of the FAFSA Student Aid Report
  • Must be available to attend the mandatory Senior Awards Night; otherwise, award will be forfeited. 
Deadline: February 17 - April 14, 2025. Applications must be submitted by 11:59pm to be considered.

Scholarship Questions and Narrative(s)
You will have 2 questions to choose from. You must respond to only 1 of the 2 personal essay questions. Each response is limited to a maximum of 350 words. Which question you choose to answer is entirely up to you, but you should select the question that is most relevant to your experience and that best reflects your individual circumstances. 
  1. Describe an example of your leadership experience in which you have positively influenced others, helped resolve disputes or contributed to group efforts over time. 
  2. Every person has a creative side, and it can be expressed in many ways: problem solving, original and innovative thinking, and artistically, to name a few. Describe how you express your creative side.
